Now the shop is open to browse for stock fabrics and products. The shop appointments have been well-received and so will continue for the foreseeable. You will receive a dedicated hour with our experienced sales assistants to discuss your interior design needs. We will work with you to find the perfect fabric from our large selection of pattern books so we are well equipped for any style or budget. Have something in mind already? Feel free to bring your cutting/magazine/screenshot in store and our sales team can help select complimentary products for your ideal home.

Each appointment is a dedicated hour with a member of staff who can help find just the product for you for a made to measure quotation or a DIY project. There is hand sanitiser available for you to use and all necessary precautions have been taken to ensure safety for our customers and staff. We would appreciate if customers could continue to wear face masks however we understand if you would prefer not. There are plastic dividers in place and the space itself is cleaned before and after each appointment.

Measuring Service – No Obligations

Here at House of Fabrics we offer a Measuring Service within a 15/20 mile radius. That covers Harrogate, Huddersfield, Pudsey and of course Bradford.
The measuring service is done by our expert fitter who is experienced with lots of different styles. He can analyse the space and is happy to suggest alternatives if your first choice is not viable/ideal.
With the photos and measurements taken during the service we can then use these details to create an accurate quotation for your chosen fabric and style. Details are retained for minimum 2 years, allowing you to prioritise sections of the order.

Due to a variety of reasons, including the cost of fuel, Measures are now £25 and will no longer be deducted from a made to measure order. We do have measuring guides available for curtains and roman blinds and are happy to use your measurements as provided. We would only advise a measure if it is particularly complicated or a full house. If you would like to purchase the measure details there would be an additional £25 to pay. We would be unable to accept liability for these measurements used with a different company or through our website. 

At the moment, we are not loaning pattern books and hangers however this is under review. A deposit is usually required and would be returned with our fitter after the measure.

Fitting Service

The fitting service is done by our expert fitter. So if you’ve had our Measuring Service you’ve already met him! If not, he is a highly experienced fitter who has dealt with thousands of different spaces and styles. We offer a Fitting Service for tracks, poles, curtains, blinds, etc.

Curtains are generally dressed into their folds to help train your curtains once the ties have been snipped and are in use.

All visits are left clean and tidy.
