We would recommend you get in touch and check the stock levels before placing your order. 

Q. MY PAYMENT WAS NOT RECOGNISED, WHAT DO I DO?

A. Do not worry, simply get in touch with our Sales Team who can check the payment system and confirm whether this has been received or indeed unsuccessful. Click HERE for the Contact Us page. We recommend you get in touch with us before attempting the order again as this may duplicate payments/orders. 

Q. CAN I ORDER SAMPLES OF FABRICS OR WALLPAPERS?

A. Yes, we would always recommend that you have seen the fabric/wallpaper in person before placing your order. This can be in a pattern book from a local stockist or by ordering samples. Samples are chargeable and are taken from the stock we hold ourselves. Delivery can take approx a week to a standard UK address, subject to stock being available. Otherwise we will request a sample from the manufacturers. You will be notified by email if your sample/s are out of stock, or discontinued, and at this time you can choose to wait for the sample or select an alternative.
Samples are not batch specific. If you require your fabric or wallpaper to be from a particular batch please get in touch to speak with our sales team who can assist and provide more detail.

Q. HOW LONG WILL MY FABRIC OR WALLPAPER TAKE TO ARRIVE?

A. Orders are usually delivered within 2-5 working days, to a Standard UK area, provided your selected items are in stock.  You will be notified by email if your item is out of stock, or delayed, and at this time you can choose to wait for the item, select an alternative or cancel your order for a full refund. Express delivery may be available for certain products, please get in touch for more information. You can also choose to click and collect your order from our Saltaire retail shop. We would contact you once the order is ready to collect and open hours are Monday-Friday 9am to 5pm. Please wait to hear from us before attempting collection. We would recommend that you do not book a decorator/workroom until the order has arrived, we would not be liable for any charges due to delays.

Q. HOW LONG WILL MY TAILOR MADE ITEMS TAKE TO ARRIVE?

A. We quote 2-4 weeks providing your chosen fabric is in stock at the time of placing your order. If the fabric is out of stock, you will be contacted and at this time you can choose to wait for the item, select an alternative or cancel your order for a full refund. We would recommend that you book not book a fitter until the order has arrived. If you would like to discuss further please do not hesitate to get in touch.

Q. HOW CAN I FIND OUT IF THE FABRIC I WANT IS SUITABLE FOR UPHOLSTERY?

A. Each fabric will have the manufacturer’s intended uses as part of the product details. If the fabric you are interested in can be used for upholstery we would recommend you get in touch to discuss your order further. Our sales team will discuss the intended use of the fabric and ask for the quantity you are looking to receive. They will then investigate whether the fabric is suitable for your needs and discuss any additional information. Please note; the majority of fabrics on our website are priced for non-FR Treated stock. There may be an additional charge if the fabric requires further treatment to make it compliant.

Q. CAN YOU TELL ME HOW MUCH WALLPAPER I NEED TO ORDER?

A.    We have a wallpaper calculator on our website to help you with this.  Please note that this provides an estimate, and we recommend that you double check with whoever is papering the wall before ordering.

Q. CAN YOU TELL ME HOW MUCH FABRIC I NEED TO ORDER?

A.  We have a fabric calculator on our website to help you with this. Please note this provides an estimate based on our workroom’s turnings and allowances. This will give a good guide but we would strongly recommend you get whomever is making the curtains to double check the fabric quantity needed.

Q. THE PRODUCT I HAVE RECEIVED IS DIFFERENT TO WHAT I ORDERED, WHAT CAN I DO?

A.  We provide the product details (including vertical pattern repeat and useable width) as per the Brand’s information. These measurements are provided as approximate figures and a certain level of tolerance is allowed. We are more than happy to investigate any discrepancies further and ask that you please get in touch as soon as possible via telephone or email with your order details. 

Q. CAN I ORDER FABRIC ONLY FROM YOU?

A. For most brands, yes simply find your fabrics, add to the cart and purchase.  Our minimum order is 1m but from then you can order to the nearest 10cm (eg 3.4). Some fabrics are available as roll-ends only, this means you would purchase that specific quantity.

Q. DO YOU COME AND MEASURE UP FOR MY BLINDS OR CURTAINS?

A. Yes. Our minimum order is 1 metre, but from thereon after we can accept orders for part-metres (to the nearest 10cm). Simply add the fabric to your shopping basket and type in the quantity you require (eg. 3.4).

Q. DO YOU COME AND MEASURE UP FOR MY BLINDS OR CURTAINS?

A. As we are an Online Retailer we offer Measuring Guides for both Curtains and Roman Blinds so you can create the quotation yourself. We offer a Measuring Service and Fitting Service for customers local to West Yorkshire, click HERE for more information. Please contact our Sales Team for more information.

Q. WHAT ARE YOUR OPENING HOURS?

A. Our Saltaire Shop is open Monday-Friday 9.00 to 5.00pm. We are available to speak on the phone, via email or Livechat. However if you leave a message we will aim to get back to you by the next business day.

Q. DO YOU DELIVER TO CHANNEL ISLAND OR OVERSEAS?

A. Sorry, at the present time we ship & trade within the mainland UK, Scottish Highlands and Northern Ireland. Due to uncertainties with Brexit we do not offer delivery to Channel Islands, Republic of Ireland or any other EU Countries at this time.

Q. WILL MY CURTAINS BE PATTERN MATCHED ACROSS THE FABRIC?

A. Yes, Curtains/ Blinds will always be pattern matched.  When ordering 2 or more pairs of curtains, in the same fabric with the same drop, they will be pattern matched to each other.
If ordering 2 or more Curtains/ Blinds, in the same fabric, with different drops we will contact you to ask if you’d like them pattern matched from the Top or the Bottom. Alternatively you can specify in your ‘Special Instructions’. We do not pattern match Curtains to Blinds, or vice versa. We would recommend pattern match from the top when the curtains/blinds are hung at the same height in the same room.


Checks & Geometric Patterns: Every effort will be made to ensure the pattern runs straight across your Blind or Curtain. Fabric is naturally a malleable product and we therefore cannot guarantee the design will run straight across. If you have any queries please do get in touch before placing your order.

Q. HOW DO I LOOK AFTER SILK FABRICS?

A. Silk fabrics will fade, thus, we recommend that it is not used in circumstances where it is exposed to direct or reflective sun or artificial light and in particular in rooms with a south facing aspect. With Silk fabrics weaving variations, slubs & flaws will occur as they are a characteristic of silk and add to the sophisticated lustre and texture and should not be considered as faults. We recommend Blackout lining or Bonded Interlinings. 

Q. HOW DO I CALCULATE FOR HALF DROP PATTERNS?

A. Half Drop pattern repeats have become very popular in recent years. The design appears to run diagonally across the fabric width. It does mean you need to allow half of a pattern repeat for every drop after the first one. We would recommend doing some online research to ensure the correct quantity is ordered if you are making curtains/blinds yourself.

Q. WILL MY ROLLS OF WALLPAPER ALL BE FROM THE SAME BATCH?

A. Yes, always. We may be able to offer a reservation service for additional rolls (dependant on the brand) if you are unsure of the quantity required. If you already have some wallpaper and find you need to order more from the same batch, please specify the batch number required in the ‘Special Instructions’ section when ordering. We would recommend that you check the batch is in stock prior to ordering. 

Q. WHAT CURTAIN HEADINGS DO YOU OFFER?

A. Through this website we offer, Eyelet Heading, 80mm Wave Heading, 3” Pencil Pleat, 5” Pencil Pleat Heading, Double Pinch Pleat & Triple Pinch Pleat.  If you have any other requirements, please email us, or give us a call on 01274 588079.

Q. CAN I CHOOSE WHAT LINING TO HAVE FOR MY CURTAINS?

A. Yes, please select the lining option you require from the drop down box when ordering. We may recommend a certain lining depending on the fabric composition, please feel free to contact us to discuss before placing your order. We can also provide lining samples for you to test with the fabric sample before ordering.
